It’s been awhile i felt sad as i did today, watching a BBC Africa documentary on Pensions. You cannot imagine how current serving civil servants, can be so cruel to retirees who once were civil servants too.

You collect bribe from a retiree, just to process their pensions? How inhuman can our society be? IT IS A CURSE YOU BRING TO YOURSELF, & POSTERITY WILL NOT TURN A BLIND EYE. Some of the elderly looking so malnourished, after steadfast years of meritorious service to their state or the nation.

Is it every small position anyone holds, he/she use it to make money; even at the expense of the fear of God? Why are we so different as a people? How have we evolved into stony & heartless beings?

Individuals in public offices collect bribes from poor citizens, before processing their documents & issuing them clearance. Suddenly its so hard to find someone you can trust with anything tagged 'public organization'.

I have travelled some parts of the world, i have never come across a people so conscienceless like our people. We are wicked to say the least. This video documentary, just distorted my evening.

I am *Brig Gen JOHN SURA ~rtd,* under my watch & stewardship over Plateau state; retiree's (Pensioners) will have cause to relax & enjoy their well deserved rest, absent any unhealthy bottleneck & maltreatment to access their hard earned monthly stipends from government coffers.

Yes we are young & strong today, but what happens to us tomorrow, if we permit ungodliness to strive within our midst?
