Once upon a time life played its beats

with lyrics clear & heart soothing,

early mornings after bidding farewell

farmers at sight air out songs of hope,

their inspirations to cultivate farmlands.

Now cruel reality has smuggled in

monsters lay wait to hunt our farmers,

tears like rain drops sketches wives cheeks

pains like fresh wounds cut open chest's,

even at mining site's women killed

leaving our lands flooded with blood.

A pitiable creature we've become

left to ruin lifeless & sleepless,

husbands scream internally

their stomachs filled with uncertainties,

such terrorist named 'unknown gun men'

each night they machete us in our sleep,

by morning we're left to count our deaths

while fighting hard to fend off tears,

but our efforts only sprung up bitter tears.

But we are Plateau God's own state

our lips praying & eyes fixed on the creator,

surely we'll rise not to shiver in fear again

behold our liberator by name *JOHN SURA* 

one with security intelligence sent to us,

his only assignment 'Plateau First'

in the rains or under the sun he'll keep watch.

Like fresh air after the rains

Plateau will blossom again,

our fragile economy

will breath sigh of relief again,

wives will hug their men again

husbands will till their farms again,

with calm nerves children will go to school

it's a new dawn for Plateau's LIBERATION.
