With keen interest i've carefully followed some prominent names aspiring for the number one sit on the Plateau, these fellows crop up from either PDP, YPP & APC. Few of them share similar visions as regards where Plateau should be, they just somehow have different views as to go about it; which makes it all the more interesting.
But devoid of personality sentiments, i tried to weigh this brains on a scale of 'opportunity' & 'self will'. By this rare method of analysis, i placed the 'PDP' & 'YPP' candidates in one box, while i placed the 'APC' candidates in another box.
Let me expand the phrases or yardstick of measurements used:
1. Opportunity- availability, connection, asses
2. Self will- against odds, selfless, patriotic.
While no one should be exempted from voicing out, acting & praying for Plateau, its only human to classify ourselves into two; 'those within or close to power', & 'those outside or unprivileged to power'.
To a layman, its believed all APC gubernatorial candidates, in one way or the other have accessibility to Governor Lalong & his working team, if so; why do all the APC aspirants have these shortcomings alike:
-None of them ever spoke out loudly & in clear words rebuking the insistent killings of unarmed indigenous settlers, yet their manifesto says they have solutions when they're voted into office.
-None of them ever called out on the government, criticizing its shortcomings on why IDP's should be empowered & relocated back to their ancestral lands; yet this same aspirants have beautiful blue prints on education, agriculture & resettling IDP's.
PLATEAU BE WARNED, isn't this a clear case of betrayal from people that have assess to the corridor of power, but have cunningly chose to keep mute & turn a blind eyes to injustice, just so they can each selfishly outsmart their selves to be the anointed of the sitting governor?
In all honesty, if there are capable hands within the PDP & YPP who could have done something but refused to; we'll single them out & trash them to the bin also.
These so called men who have colorful CV's & money bags parading themselves within the shelter of the APC, fold their arms and watched our children, old parents, wives & husbands being machetted to death. They obey table manners while farmlands are grabbed and crops destroyed by the normalized 'unknown gun men', but without shame have now found their voices to call on Plateau to vote them.
Correct me if i'm wrong, or if in your opinion consider me to be talking out of party bias, 'Will you as a person re invest your mandate on anyone who leaves you to your faith, while you drown in pains & daily bury loved ones?'.
Their aims are definitely to continue trading the plateau heritage for a bowl of porridge. They will continue to wine and dine to their fill, while sweeping under the carpet the Plateau cries.
If we are not tired of the conspiracy of silence against our people and lands, then please vote them because you deliberately chose to act ignorant. I know you know them. Please if not for yourself, do it for your children & grandchildren. And just in case you're out of who to vote next, please channel your energy & resources to vote Brig Gen JOHN SURA ~rtd of the PDP.
